This site is dedicated to the memory of Christopher Pollard.

Chris was a loving son who came home from work complaining of a painful knee, after a visit to the local minor injury unit we took him to the Colchester A&E department, where he deteriorated rapidly. The Staff fought for 6 hours to save him, but he died in the early hours. at no time did he display the more easily recognised symptoms of menigitis, no headaches, no neck pain, no photophobia, just a painful knee. He was a lively lad who enjoyed, sport, cycling, coarse fishing both in the UK and France on family holidays, he also loved computers and computer games, but was always there to help his parents in household DIY and car Maintenance. He is still greatly missed by his parents and family This page is not just a memorial for Chris please pass the link on so we can raise awareness of the previously less publicised symptons of menigitis, and Septicaemia, we may be able to prevent future death and disabillity. Please feel free to make a donation in his name or light a candle for Chris
